Back to a "new" normal

I think we are finally getting into a routine again. Things have been a bit topsy turvy around here since Grandma Betty passed away. Lots of time spent at DH's moms, and prayers, funeral and all that goes with that. Thanks to mom for her help with the little ones during all of this.

When DH's dad passed away the part that hurt the most was that Reezer ( and technically BB since I had just found out I was pregnant a few days after the funeral) wouldn't remember Grandpa. We had a funeral card laminated and Reezer still has it in with her toys and books and she pulls it out and says that's Papa and she will say to DH I made Papa laugh cause that is what we always tell her but really she has no memory of him. Now she will remember Grandma Betty (I think) but BB won't and so we'll laminate another funeral card and try and tell as many stories as we can. The loss for my kids is what gets me the most even though we knew it was coming and we are thankful the suffering wasn't long it's still hard.

So today I'll do the laundry and clean the house and I'll tell a story or two but normal just isn't going to be what it was.
