Back at it

Time to get back into the swing of things - weekend is over.

So the little ones ended up getting sent for chest and sinus xrays as well as blood work following their dr. appt. E was helping me in the doctor's office, she's so good, but knowing that blood work was coming I called DH to come in from work - E's not so good with the blood and I knew I needed back up to hold one kid down while the other was waiting. Reezer did really well with her xrays, stood still and did what she was told and about half way through she got nervous or something and cried her way through it but still got it done. Then it was BB's turn, I've never had a toddler get x-rays, it was cruel but necessary, he got strapped in a tube, looked like he was Hannibal Lector. Terrible to watch and the poor boy was so upset. But got through it and then when we came out of the xray room Daddy was there to hold him, since mena mommy let them do that to him. Blood work was easier but still had lots of tears from both of them, thankfully mommy held it together. So we will await the results when the dr gets back next week. My money's on allergies or asthma knowing our family history.

Friday I subbed in Grade 1 - too fun - they couldn't remember my name and one little one called me Mrs. Coffee - how cute? Then it was off to Rachel's to pick up Reese from the party. DH's mom made supper and we came home so I could get kids ready for bed and get out the door for clothing club. DH agreed to E having two friends over for a sleepover - he's going for the super dad award I think. Considering he was called out to work at 3:30 the morning before I give him a lot of credit for that. I got BB to sleep before I went but Reezer was not going down so I left her watching a movie and hoped for the best.

Clothing club was a blast - good food - really good (too good) martinis - and lots of laughs. Didn't get home until 2ish and BB was up at 6:30 - good times.

Then we were off to Ktown. Tried to return tile samples in Kindersley but they were closed. So booted it back and caught the last half of the local football game - our nephew Ty was playing and his team won. Spent the night at the farm, so the kids got in tractor rides, quad rides and picking veggies in Grandpa's garden. E got a visit with her sister from another mother and I got some very smart tile advice - gotta love the G-Lo!

Sunday we hung around the farm until about 2. Then I had to say good bye to my baby bro as he is hoping to leave for Italy on Tuesday. I don't do that so well and was feeling pretty blue when I got home. Too bad I don't own my own jet and have Mikey around to fly it. But I'll see him sooner in the spring this year since the season is shorter so it will be okay.

This week we are off to Reba on Friday - kidless with an overnight in the city. Hoping Goose and his lady join us for some pre and post concert laughs.

Rachel is here today so best go referee - well really just keep BB from biting her!
