Birthday party

Today we are having DH's birthday supper, his birthday is actually tomorrow but we are off to mom's tomorrow so party today. Unfortunately his brother and family have gone to the in laws so won't be able to join us. Must get supper done and out of the way in time for the Red Sox game of course. Very happy that they won last night. Only 7 more wins for a repeat!

We were at the eye doctor on Thursday. Very long time as four of of us were getting our eyes tested, should have left BB with Grandma as it was hard to keep him entertained and out of trouble for two hours and poor E got stuck in the waiting room with him as both DH and I ended up with different eye doctors and in the exam room at the same time. Guess I'll be supporting that Ipod fund a little more. They dilated E's, mine and DH's pupils and then we went for lunch so I am sure that the waitress was thinking we were all bug eyed! Oh and since we didn't get out of their until 12 and the kids usually eat by 11:30 we had a "great" time at lunch, Reezer wouldn't sit still, BB spilled a whole glass of iced tea and I was ready to just forget the shopping and go home before the food came! Once the food came though all was good, Reezer gobbled up her shrimp and BB dove into his mashed potatoes and we were off to Wally Mart!

Friday I went to teach while DH stayed home with the babes - what a role reversal. I had an awesome day, the grade 5's were perfect I wish the teacher had left me more correcting to do for her cause I was kind of bored. Also got to teach nephew Tony P.Ed so that was fun - he wasn't too sure about calling me Mrs. W though - your auntie he said. Cute! Also got to work with a new girl from China working on English - amazing how hard it is to make some words understood. She was working on History 10 so talking about the Italian Renaissance. How do you explain what a patron is?

So now I am off to the kitchen for the majority of the day - on the menu DH's sister Janet's tortellini recipe - awesome but not so good for you, garlic shrimp so we feel like we are still at the lake, and holey cake. Also some of Glenna's spinach dip! Yum! Thinking maybe surprise spread but we'll see how my time goes the tortellini recipe takes some time.
