Wow - have I ever been away from the computer for a long time! Lots to report now!
E had two games before Christmas - they lost on the 20th and then on the 21st they won in Wainwright and we continued on to Edmonton for a few days with Auntie Wendy in tow. It was extremely cold out so we were packed in tight in the truck but nonetheless had a great time.
Our first stop was at my cousin's for supper, a visit and a Panama hard sell - not that it is too hard to sell it to DH anyway! It was great to see everyone and I wish I could have spent less time chasing and more time visiting! E was and is extremely thankful to Auntie Tenaj and Uncle Wade for finally getting some music on her Ipod.
We spent two nights at West Ed, did the last of my shopping and hit the waterpark. A great time was had by all and we did our part in helping out the economy!
We arrived home on the 23 after a long trip with BB - not the world's best traveler. DH was back to work on the 24th and I was doing laundry, wrapping presents and preparing for Xmas supper. Mom and Dad joined us and we headed to DH's mom's for supper and gifts. Home again I was hoping the kids would go to sleep without issue so I could finish up but it was not to be - finally got them all down around 12:30 and finished up the last of what needed to be done before the morning.
E was up at 6 as was I as I was nervous about the bird. DH left for work and E watched her movie from her stocking while I made stuffing and got the bird in the oven. The other kids had just gotten up when DH got back from work so we had presents and breakfast. Then mom and I got stuff ready for supper and we waited for the rest to arrive. Supper for 14 and everything done on time so it was a good day.
Mom and Dad headed home on Boxing Day and we had supper at DH's mom's. The kids were done early and ready for bed so we didn't stay long.
On the 27th Pam, Ira and the boys arrived and we had Christmas again! I got old on the 28th and the kids had great fun making me a cake. We took the three oldest for a skate while Mom and Dad watched the little boys. Ajay is a really good skater - just ask him! They had fun but didn't last too long.
Mom and Dad had to head home that night so it was just us and the Altman's for a few days. SO nice to see my nephews and get to play with them.
The 31st brought some not so nice weather so Pam and Ira decided to ring in the new year with us. Our lake family joined us and we had a nice evening - the kids were great and we even managed to play a game.
We all headed to the farm on the 1st and enjoyed another great turkey meal. Poor DH was suffering with cold so that was unfortunate. We had fun playing on the hill despite the cold and E got her Ivana fix so it was all good.
Now we are back to reality - we came home on Saturday and yesterday was a day spent doing laundry and putting things back to rights. I think I finished it all today but I'm sure tomorrow I'll find more.
I'll try and do a better job of keeping up with the blog and get some pictures on from the holidays!
