Yes I am still alive - sorry it has taken me so long to catch up with you all...
Okay I'll rewind...
Sunday the 15th - left for Edmonton around 11 - stop in Lloyd ofr lunch - drove frantically around WEst Ed parking lot in search of two spots - finally found some - got to two clothing stores and found some suitable attire for me to go to Mexico - also found things for E, DH and Reezer and BB - then ran all the way to Chapters to get E the second book in the Twilight series for plane reading - made it to hotel in Nisku - waited a ridiculously long time for food - put everyone to bed - got everyone up way to early
Monday - made it through customs after one meltdown from Reezer, Reezer falls asleep while waiting for plane, not much selection but manage to feed everyone from airport kisosk - mental note - pack better food for plane - then again would it make it through security? hmmm
first flight edmonton to phoenix ( sorry no capitals shift on wrong side is starting to annoy me) E with Auntie little kids with dh and i - no major problems during flight - at arrival must run through airport to total opposite side of terminal - make it with a bit of time to spare - second flight phoenix to mexico city e and reezer with auntie - not bad flight - landing rough - reezer pukes e must handle as mom can't reach her - e does great - mom feeling like schmuck - mexico city - change everyone out of pants into shorts - repack the puky clothes - try to figure out where to go - e having panic attack as no one speaks nuch english - finally figure it out - get the boarding passes and some food from 7-11 - one more flight to cancun can't remember who sat where - land in cancun - driver is right there off to hotel
its dark so don't see much on the way to the hotel - adjoining rooms as requested - auntie with king size bed and balcony - us with two murphy beds and no balcony - hmmmm - mom tired and grouchy - kids same - order food from room service - e asleep before it comes - mom orders poorly - gross soup no food til morning - nice start!
Tuesday - time share lady calls at 8 - all kids were still sleeping - not any more - meet the sales speil guy for breakfast - no pressure - ha - four different 'well how about this deals' very proud of dh for standing firm on no
change for beach - awed and thrilled to be here - sand is warm ocean is beautiful - drinks are lovely all is right with the world - spend the afternoon at the beach - lunch in ocean view restaurant - bb naps on the beach chair under the umbrella - its all good - supper is also good at the buffet and everyone crashes early - except me of course but then i hear sleep is overrated
Wednesday - start the day at the pool - lounging and enjoying then book some excursions - that afternoon we did a subsee adventure through a coral reef - everyone liked it except bb who slept through it -
Thursday - more pool and a swim in the ocean - loved it - dh is pretty sure the naked lady on the beach was from something about mary - not the pair he would have wanted to see - he he - afternoon put the boy to sleep and dh and i went for a parasail - lovely - auntie goes for her massage and thoroughly enjoys it
Friday we are off to wet and wild for the dolphin swim - dh, aunti and little ones to do the interaction e and i to swim - reezer throughs a fit and won't go it and bb smacks a dolphin across the nose dh ends up taking them both out of the area before time is up - me thinks we wasted some money there i of course loved the swim and e although nervous also liked it
next up lunch - its raining and so the marble floor is slippery - can you see where this is headed? i of course want to be sure the little ones don't fall so i have them by the hands bb slips and while trying to save him while holding onto reezer i completly wipe out hitting my head and apparently my elbow on the marble and landing on bb's arm - thankfully bb is fine but i cut my elbow pretty good and end up in the first aid room - probably coudl have had a stitch but being the tough girl form avoca that i am just got a band aid and a guaze wrap and on my way - very sad that it meant we didn't get to go on any on the really cool looking water slides - maybe next time as appraently we are going back so reezer can do the dolphin thing - what a kid!
Saturday - on last swim and then a long trip home - bb not happy - another run through phoeniz airport some juice cups surrendered to security since we didn't have time to wait while they tested the juice and we are back on canadian soil
Sunday - drive home, groceries in lloyd supper at grandma's and not even ready to get back into life
Monday - school, work, - babysitting 11 loads of laundry its all good
Tuesday - hockey practice
Wednesday - played hockey in Chauvin - league playoffs lost 2-1me up until 2 making jello
Thursday - hockey in Viking 2 hour drive, lost 1-0 home at 12:30
Friday - cook 42 boxes of kraft dinner and 17 bls of smokies at school - e practice - me exhausted
SAturday - only 7 loads of laundry - game in Provost lost to Viking 1-0 again so not zone champs but still goign to provincials
Sunday - game in Irma - 11/2 hour drive - lost 4-3 - not advancing in league playoffs now playing Cold Lake for consolation side - 3 hour drive to get there - but maybe will see Kendra and Hudson???
Monday - babysit, Lloyd for groceries, Grandma's for birthday supper for Kim and now I'm caught up whew!
Okay I uploaded all my pictures to shutterflly - gotta figure out how to let you see them now
