Sheesh no one must read this blog - haven't even heard a comment about the lack of posts!
So what's been going on ...
Have had Reezer and BB to public skating twice now. Reezer is doing well without having to push the skating helper. Slow stepping rather than gliding but still able to go forward. BB is doing great. He holds on to the helper and just goes. His first comment when he gets on the ice is always where is the zamboni? I really hope we can continue to get them to the rink at least once a week. Questioning whether or not I should have put Reezer into skating as the rest of the kids her age at public skating seem to be so much further ahead but I guess it's probably too late now.
Reezer had two parties this week for halloween at play school since her class is not made up of the same kids both days. So she dug into the dress up box and went as a princess on Tues and Supergirl on Thursday. We had Halloween today in our community to make it easier with the groupings and she and BB looked really good in their costumes. He was a tiger and she was a butterfly that I bought in Edmonton in August. E went as a Roughrider cheerleader also cute. She is currently at a boy girl movie night at her friends house.
And on that boy girl note on Wednesday a boy called the house to make plans for a group of them to go to the haunted house and then another boy stopped to pick her up!!! When did I get to this stage of parenting???? Apparently overnight. Thankfully I had already taken her over to another friends house so I didn't have to deal with watching her walk out of the house with a boy. Really if you think about this it is totally unfair that I am dealing with this now - I never went on a date until Grade 12 people!!!
Okay enough of a rant about that.
Now what shall I rant about - the fact that I'm exhausted but am waiting up to go and pick up my 12 year old? Oh the life I lead!
Last night we had a jack o lantern party with DH's family. I ordered pizza and then we got to it and made 6 jack o lantern's - 5 of which were pumpkins mom picked up for me in Ktown which I believe means we have Ambro's homegrown jack o lanterns. Didn't try the rum punch trick of Auntie USA though pretty sure I'd be down for the count for a week if I tried to drink at all!!
Going to go and check other people's blogs now - probably much more interesting!
