Gosh I'm a lazy blogger

There you have it folks - the blog is the last thing that gets done and as you can see that means it is largely not getting done.  I'm sure you have other things to occupy your time so it's not too big of a loss.

What's new with the Whinny Coughs???

E played in NB last weekend losing in the bronze final.  She helped to ref my 6/7 girls tourney Friday night before she left.  She slept - a lot - on Sunday and when she finally managed to rouse herself she organized hockey equipment as her first practice of the year was last night.  Due to the lack of female hockey players in our area she now begins her first of five years playing Midget hockey should she continue to play until grade 12.  She had volleyball and hockey practice yesterday, she played volleyball tonight and she plays again tomorrow before hockey practice.  Thursday she has dance class and Friday she leaves for a two day overnight volleyball tournament.  I predict she sleeps - a lot - on Sunday.  Her grades are still in the high 80's so I am not worried yet.

Reeser was very excited to have mommy in her classroom last week as the helper.  Mommy could never teach the younger grades my back was killing me after bending over those tables for one afternoon.  She had a great sleepover with her brother at the farm while mommy was coaching on the weekend.  She and BB will start skating lessons tomorrow.

BB is now the proud owner of four bright blue stitches located in the middle of his forehead right above his nose.  Reezer and BB were at the park with their friends from one door down while I was making supper this evening when who do I see coming across my deck but my neighbor with one very bloody little boy. After immediately applying pressure (still have some life guarding instincts) I took a look and said to DH we need to go to the hospital.  The normal 15 minute drive DH made in 10 and I called as we were driving to say we were coming and then we sat in emerg for over an hour before 4 stitches took care of the gash.  Apparently he was just walking under the bridge portion of the play structure and hit his head.  That's talent for you right there - how many people can cut their head open while walking?  Frankly I am surprised that this is the first time we've received stitches and if I was a betting gal I'd say we'll have some more before we reach the legal drinking age!
