Not forgotten

Apologies yet again to all my loyal readers - you know my grandparents, aunts and all those other relatives! LOL

We have been home all week on our spring break.  A fabulous invention to be sure.  At the beginning of my teaching career spring break meant 2 days of convention and then the rest of the week off.  Now that convention is in September we have 9 days of non work commitment for me.  It has been great.

E had two hockey games one Friday night and one Saturday night.  She was not feeling well Friday so instead of playing she went to bed and slept over 12 hours.  Her team tied.  Saturday she felt better so she played and they won their last league game.  They will now play Wainwright - again - this is the team that beat them out of their provincial run.  Our goalie is going on a hot holiday so next week they will play Monday and Tuesday night and possibly Thursday.

Reezer received an amazing 50 days of Kindergarten report.  She continues to enjoy school and is reading well.  Her skating carnival is coming up in March and she has improved so much this year I think she could play hockey in the fall if she wants to.  Her dance recital is not until May but we will have a parent viewing night soon. I can't wait to see how she does with the others as when she practices at home she seems to know her routines quite well.

BB has sure battled the coughs as he calls it this winter.  I thought he was all cleared up but he seems to be starting again.  Have to put the Benalyn plug into the wall tonight again.  He is such an expressive kid - happy or mad you know and you know now!!! He too is doing well with skating despite not taking lessons.  We have tried to get him to the rink on a more regular basis but struggle with the available public skating time is to late on week nights for us.

This weekend we are off to Calgary for E's first club volleyball tournament.  I am hoping to get some spring shopping done - you know rubber boots, splash pants - maybe that will bring on spring?  I'd probably be better at buying winter stuff!

Hope you are doing well - TTYL!
