A new level

Well I've reached another level - I really should take a picture because it is quite amusing. I have now moved the play yard (pictured previously) into the office. BB was not content in the yard when I was in the office and he couldn't see me so today I had enough and moved it right into the office. Mind you there is not much room left besides the yard but I can still get to the computer, he's safe and happy and I am writing to my legions of adoring fans (HA!) so all is well.

Its been awhile since I've updated you and boy do we have stories to tell...

Well mainly they are just hockey stories but they are quite entertaining in my little world. At Friday night's game there was a fight! A player from the North Battleford team had a run in with one of our girls and they both wiped out and hit the boards. Then the NB player gets up skates over, drops her gloves, grabs our players face mask and starts shaking her and hitting her. I don't think our girl knew what was going on, then one of our defence men starts hitting the NB player from behind. It was so crazy! The initial two girls got thrown out of the game and somehow we didn't get a third man in penalty. Probably the ref making up for not giving a penalty previously when our goalie got snowed after the whistle. The NB player was there best player, she had scored three times and assisted on a fourth goal in the first ten minutes of the game. The fight took place in the first period but we still lost 7-2.

Saturday we headed to NB for game 2. The roads were awful - very glad DH was driving and we had the truck. Almost hit the ditch right outside of town and I pretty much rode with my head in my hands the rest of the way. When we get to NB we discover that the girls who were kicked out the night before can't play this game either - league rule. So NB is down there best player and we are down one of ours but have another back who was sick the night before. With a minute left in the game we are winning the game 4-1, making the series 8-6. We pull the goalie and score! Now there are 45 seconds left and we are only losing the series by one goal - and they let the clock run! Utter pandemonium - we're losing it in the stands our coaches are losing it, the rink guy is opening the door to bring on the Zamboni - just crazy! Earlier in the game the NB coach had lost it and been ejected and the ref just wanted the game over, thought since we were winning the game it didn't matter, he didn't realize the series situation. So once everyone calms down and it's all straightened out he puts the time back up and we face off at center. Unfortunately our goalie heads for the bench without making sure we had the puck and they scored again. So we won the game 5-2 but lost the series. Would have been nice to advance to the league final but NB hadn't lost a game all season so that was a nice victory in itself.

Whew! Aren't you glad you tuned in for that tale?

Since then things haven't been that exciting. Sunday we just hung out and had a jammie day - until the Allcock's stopped in for a visit and we thought we should perhaps have clothes on! Then we made plans for a trip to Saskatoon Thursday to take in the Sports and Leisure show and E has been counting the sleeps ever since. Mom its almost better than a trip to Disneyland - you just remember that dear!

So now its Wednesday and I should have a lot more done than I do - but there are still two hours until it's officially Thursday so maybe I'll get some more done before we leave?

I have pictures to post as well but haven't got them loaded onto the computer - will try next week!
