So much to catch up on...

Since we last spoke...

Reezer turned five!  She had a party with 6 of her friends and then a family party in joint celebration with Grandma Darlene.  As well she spent half a day at Kindergarten and now cannot wait for fall. Goose and G-Lo may find that a tad amusing.  She and her brother spent a week at the farm with Grandma/pa, cousins and their parents.  While at the lake she obtained her whale badge in swimming lessons and learned to ride her bike without training wheels.

BB has a very dirty pair of coveralls after his week at the farm.  As Dad says I sure hope he still wants to help when he's some good.  He has been without a diaper for a week now and is not doing too badly.  He desperately wanted his training wheels off as well but he is just not quite there yet.  He is the only three year old I know who would pass on ice cream to stay and help dad with loading the trailer.  Driving the boat is still a big hit with him.

E was the bronze medal finisher at her provincial ball.  There were 15 teams at the tournament and the Lakers went 4-0 in the round robin and then beat K-sley in the quarter final to advance to the semi.  The couldn't pull it out against the home town Southey team who eventually won provincials.  It was a great weekend of ball and I am very grateful to mom and dad and pam for keeping the little ones.  Next year though I think they will come along pretty hard to have them missing mom so much.  E's report card was stellar as usual and she will be in Grade 8 (gasp) in the fall.

We enjoyed a week at Brightsand with Pam and Ira and the boys and plan on doing the lake lessons again next summer.  Thanks to the senior Altman's for sharing their site.  It went way to fast.

Other than a slight scare with Grandpa Scott the summer is going great.  We are off to Dillberry in the morning for a DH's family weekend.

Congrats to Scott and Mel on their Croatian adventure.  Too bad we won't get a chance to see Auntie Mel before they leave - I guess we will have to have a winter holiday in Croatia!

So many exciting things happening with you guys -- those kids are learning and changing every day! I'm so sad I missed everyone this summer. Hope all is well and we'll have to have a Skype date soon. :-)
