You would think that since we spent the summer much closer to home I would have done a better job of updating the blog. So sorry about that...
We have spent 45 nights in the trailer this season. However I feel the season is over for us *sigh* work begins again next week and the trailer needs to see a trailer doctor for a few issues. We blew a water line and the motor for the jacks is seized. Such is life. Thank goodness for long driveway's and second vehicles as our second home is staying hitched up until it can get to the doc.
We spent a few days at Dilberry with DH's family after returning from Brightsand. Then headed to the farm for an overnight before DH had to return to work. After he returned to work the kids and I returned to the farm and took the opportunity to take Uncle to the airport and do our school shopping.
E went to dance camp and volleyball camp and enjoyed both. We camped here at our home lake the entire time she was away and for a few days after.
Then we loaded up the Exidition (in BB's terms) and headed east for a visit with Grandma and Grandpa. We were hoping to get tickets to the Rider game on the way but that didn't work out. We enjoyed an evening of waterslides in the Queen city instead before finishing our journey. While in the Peg we had a swim in Grandma's pool, not many kids can say they've been swimming with their great grandma but mine can! Spent some time at the forks enjoying the children's museum and the various food vendors, swam in the hotel pool numerous times, saw Shrek Forever AFter in 3D at the Imax and were thrilled to see Grandpa. He looks great and is getting better every day - I have to say he married well!!!
On the way home we stopped in Moose Jaw and mom and dad met us there to celebrate Dad's birthday. We hit the spa but the thermal pool wasn't the kid's favourite. DH ended up with the flu but was a trooper and we did the Al Capone tunnel and the kids got a great old fashioned photo done. I drove all the way from there as DH was passed out in the back - thank goodness Fancy has the extended back.
Since arriving home I have been eliminating excess stuff from the house in hopes of being organized before the school year begins - wish me luck!!!
