I have been a teacher now for - never mind not telling don't want you to know how really old I am - but this is the first time I am dealing with the death of a student. It isn't easy.
We lost a special needs student under tragic circumstances last Sunday night , tomorrow we will have a memorial at school I will not do well with it.
There are many times in my life that I am thankful and this week has been one of them. I am thankful for
- my siblings - who I couldn't call but somehow instinctively knew when I would be ready to talk and called me
- my parents who gave me the safe, loving home which is allowing me to provide the same for my children.
- my co-workers who pull together and do the very best for every student in our school despite the fact that they rarely get recognized for the good that they do
- and I am truly thankful for kleenex - what a great invention
Tomorrow is going to be a long day - but you know what in heaven that boy's running like he never could on Earth!

I, my dear are so thankful for teachers like you. Caring, loving teachers who really love what they are do. Sorry you have lost someone dear to you. Consider this your "HUG".
