We have been very sick around here. Christmas came and went but the cold/flu did not.
Our Christmas day was spent at home with my parents and DH's mom and sister. Very low key but enjoyable.
We ventured to the farm on the 28th to spend some time with the Altman's. While there we got in a bit of shop hockey, some sliding, some quading a cattle drive and a few games. We are starting to enjoy periods of time with kids playing in the basement at Grandma's without a supervisor - not many but some so I see more adult card games in the future.
Aunt Diane joined us at the farm after her trip to New Zealand and it was a lot of fun to hear her stories. We also discovered a baby name for Kath if she has a girl - Adine, it uses all the letters in Diane without being Diane - just a thought Kath.
DH's mom and sister joined us at the farm for New Year's Day and Reezer was thrilled to stay up until morning playing cards.
Back home on the 2nd and farewell to the Altman's as they were headed back down south. I worked my shift at the booth and brought home supper so avoided cooking another night!
We headed to Lloyd for a grocery run on Monday as DH was still off work and the kids and I didn't go back until Wednesday.
I have two days down of the new job and am starting to get a handle on it. I feel like crap and should be sleeping but seem to be struggling with that these days.
Hockey and volleyball for E this weekend. Clothing club for me tomorrow night if I feel up to it. Hoping we lose this cough/cold soon!
