Well here it is August already. I seem to be a bit behind on the updates don't I?
We had a good weekend with the Altman's and mom and dad at Brightsand for July 1st. Put the boat in the water twice and took Dad along as spotter. I forgot how sore I get the first time kneeboarding. The tube seems to have sprung a leak so we had some fun trying to stay on. The Altman cabin was so much fun that once we were home for two days of cleaning up and laundry Reezer, BB and I went back up to the lake for a few days. It was another great time with cousins, the lake and of course ice cream! E had ball practice so had to stay home with dad who was working.
Reezer and BB took a few days of swimming lessons and were successful in moving on to the next levels.
E's provincials were held in Kindersley and she had lots of fans, as the Altman's, mom and dad and Jim's mom and sister made the trek to watch her. The team did alright making it to the play offs before getting eliminated. E played mainly right field and didn't make any errors there and we figure her batting average was pretty high so it was personally a good weekend for her if not for her team.
After her ball weekend the great adventure began!
We rented a motor home and made the trek to Cincinnati to see the Reynolds'. It was a fabulous family trip. The first day we drove into the early morning hours and made it to Minot. The next morning we were up early and on the road driving all day to arrive at Wisconson Dells in the late evening. We came upon this campground and checked in for two nights. http://www.sherwoodforestcamping.com/
The next morning we were up and off to Mt. Olympus theme and water park. http://www.mtolympuspark.com/ We spent the whole day here. Starting off with the outdoor amusement park where the go carts were a huge hit. After lunch we took in both the outdoor and indoor water parks before heading out for supper.http://www.dellscrabbys.com/
When we finished eating we still had time before bed so we went back to Mt. Olympus and did a few more rides.
After a night's sleep we took in a Wisconson Dell's Duck tour.http://www.wisconsindellstours.net/?event=offer.detail&offerId=3177&gclid=CNzF3fuhz7ECFUgDQAodWgsAsg
After the Duck boat we hit the road arriving in Cincy late that night!
